Ctte video ideas - DF Committee - groups

PROPOSALS FOR CTTE VIDEO. pleased tell me what you think/your own
ideas.

1. we enter ctte “offices” and see ctte doing appropriate business for
their role e.g. James is doing some typing. everyone is also dressed
appropriate for their role e.g. south-west rep is a farmer.
pros: pretty funny
cons: pretty complicated, some may find the fancy dress offensive.

2. new ctte fight old ctte for their roles in costume. e.g saul
poisons david to take over as treasurer. Anna fights herself.
pros: pretty funny also pretty cool when people fight themselves.
cons: very complicated to film, would take a long time, some people
may find the violence offensive.

3. ctte are jedi (sam suggested this).
pros: pretty cool
cons: how on earth can we make ctte into jedi

4. ctte are ninjas. we all plan ninja and film it from a range of
exciting angles. sound effects etc are added in the edit.
pros: easy to film, no planning needed.
cons: still violent

5. James Robson proposes we all stare into the camera for five minutes
then spontaneously turn into eggs.
pros: pretty easy to film
cons: WHY WHY WHY

6.ctte mafia game where are roles do different things in game
pros: this would be awesome
cons: could become an in joke, might be hard to look good on film and quite complicated.

ALL IDEAS WILL INVOLVE SLOW MOTION AT SOME POINT


Louise 2011-09-13	7. from sarah lawson, we see the old ctte members changing their themed outfits with the new members. we do this with camera trickery, no nudity. also, the costumes are less likely to offend e.g the regions are mroe geographically accurate. pros: inoffensive, not elitist, funny, relatively easy to film if we can all think of costumes. cons: some costumes might be hard to source.


lcannell 2011-09-14	It sounds like people are pretty sold on the passing costumes on idea (no. 2) But how will it work?!


Louise 2011-09-14	i think the costumes idea can work well. if people are missing then we can just have last years removing their costume (no nudity) or this years putting theirs on. we can film each shot in a different location (in the pool, up a tree, in a bedroom etc etc) to make it more exciting to watch. i’ll find some funky music that we can use. i think it could work. provided everyone can find/make a costume.


Louise 2011-09-14	i plan to leave this up for another week or so and then get people to vote by emailing me their faveourites in order. then i’ll draw up a plan for the one that wins.

lcannell 2011-09-15	There’s a really cool tool you can use for ordering options on crabgrass. Go on create page and then ranked vote. If you think it’s right you should use one o’ them.


Louise 2011-09-19	I’ve done some work with greenscreen before (with lots of help from obscene dave) so it might be possible to actualy have you (Anna) talking to yourself in the same scene.


freyapryce 2011-09-19	in option 7 are the regions a) cardboard cutouts of the region (we could illustrate them) or b) costumes of a regional stereotype?


Louise 2011-09-19	I think it could be up to the reps themselves. whatever they feel happier to make and wear. it doesn’t matter if there is a mixture.


freyapryce 2011-09-28	This is one of those conversations that is as equally relevant to regional council and is way better done together rather than on two separate threads… the only way I can see of doing ones like that is by email or a joint crabgrass. More communication between regional council and ctte is something the old RC were stressing that they’d really like at the end of this term, so it would be really good to sort it out for the next lot of people.
