Fighting Hunger

donations to Harry Chapin food bank

I believe that the Harry Chapin page needs to be published, we can set up permanent drop off points at local businesses and markets. We can work with markets to donate produce that will be thrown out anyway, same with bread.

Getting local businesses involved allows them good publicity, and builds good will for us. The best part is we are helping those who truly need it. We should also look for ways to work with the Nation’s Association in E. Fort Myers.

Agreed. I’ve had these thoughts, as well.

I wonder, too, if any businesses would also commit to a “matching” program – for any can donated at their location, they’d also donate a can, or some such thing.
