> i got the call out from a friend, (yo), that sounds really exciting. This year i’m a bit in uncertainty, and won’t know if i can make it until very last minute, but please do keep me informed of the dates. Olá gente ativa..
Falando e encontrando gente boa nas últímas semanas, germinou a ideia de um encontro de lutas em Portugal. Um encontro de alguns dias com meta de reunir pessoas de diferentes lutas em Portugal e fora para fazer ligações e troca de conhecimento e experienças.
Criando um espaço para ouvir e apresentar o que nos move para agir contra projetos e empresas destrutivos . Para nos motivar e inspirar a continuar a lutar e criar alternativas. Para criar redes e coneções e encontrar solidaridad e apoio. Para aprender da existençia de varias estrategias e construir e utilizar feramentas que já foram usadas por outros ativistas. Para descobrir como a gente se pode conectar e participar nas lutas em Portugal.
Umas jornadas em formato de acampamento. Algures no campo, perto de Lisboa, para que seja um sitio central em Portugal, facil de alcançar com transportes publicos ou carro se a gente quiser mesmo utilizar… ;)
Quando?
fala-se de organizar este encontro num fim de semana na primavera 2017, com preferencia em Maio (mais ideias?). Muito posivelmente vamos acampar, então é bom escolher um tempo com menos chuva, mais perto do verão e assim também dar espaço e tempo à gente para propor acções e eventos a ser planeados para o verão e outono.

Localização
Ainda há muito tempo para encontrar um sítio. Era bom ser no campo perto de Lisboa, num espaço que já tem gente interesado ou involvido em ativismo. Um projeto, comunidade alternativa, uma ocupa ou até um terreno privado de amigos ou familia. Alguẽm tem ideias ou contatos?
Organização e comunicação
Pareçe útil encontrar uma forma de comunicar pela internet e formar assim um grupo de pessoas que queiram organizar este encontro. Há uma lista de emails… e também era útil criar um tipo de arquivo para guardar e estruturar a informação em témas de discução, pode ser um página wiki público por exemplo.
Ter pelo menos um encontro físico em lisboa e um no Porto pode ser útil para criar alguns grupos de trabalho e formular juntos umas ideias para logistica prática (local, cozinha, casa do banhos etc.), conteúdo e criar material de divulgação (formular texto, planear programa, cartazes, páginas web).
A forma de organisar não tem comitee central (só existe agora na cabeça de alguns), então é aberto para todos interesados organisar numa forma horizontal, com espaço para ouvir a opinão de todos e fazer decisões principais em consensus a par de ter grupos de trabalho (locais) que tomam conta de tarefas específicas com autonomia dentro dos objetivos principais.
Programa
Ainda é muito cedo, mas para ter uma ideia do que podia ser:
*Isto não precisa de ser tudo por dia… tb é bom ter meio parte de dia sessões teóreticas (debates e presentações) e meio parte de dia espaço para oficinas práticas.
A programa vai ser formado dependente de oferta de alguêm que quer organizar ou facilitar uma sessão. Todos que vieram podem apresentar algo se querem. Importante é ter uma data antes de enviar propostas para poder formar a programa e divulgar info sobre o evento com antecedençia.
Quẽm quer organisar?
Tudo ainda é muito aberto, isto só é primeiro conceito/ideia, para começar.. Importante agora é encontrar gente aqui em Portugal que querem realizar estas jornadas/este encontro…. Só vai dar para organizar um evento destes se há interesse e gente disponivel para ajudar-lhe acontecer!

Talking and meeting nice people in the lasts weeks, came up the idea to organise a gathering of struggles in Portugal. A few days for people to come together and share about the different struggles in and outside portugal, to connect to each other and exchange knowledge and experiences.
Lets create a space to hear and present what moves us to act against destructive projects and companies. To motivate and inspire ourselves to continue to fight and create alternatives. To create networks and connections, and find solidarity and support. To learn about different strategies and built and use tools that have already been used by other activists. To discover how people can connect to each other and participate to the struggles going on in portugal.
A few days event, in a form of a camp in the countryside, somewhere close to Lisbon, a central place in Portugal, easy to reach by public transport or by car if needed.
When?
We settled in organising this event during a weekend in spring 2017, preferably in may. Very probably we will camp, so its better to choose a time with less rain, and still close to the summer to enable people to promote actions that might happen in the summer and autumn.
Where?
There is still planty of time to find a place. It would be good for it to be an open field, close to Lisbon, in a space that already has people interrested or involved in activism. A project, an alternative community, a squat or a private land from friends or family. Someone has ideas or contacts?
Organisation and communication
It might be useful to find a way to communicate on internet to create a group of people who want to organise this meeting. There is an email list and maybe it is usefull to create an archive to organise the information and the themes of discussions, like a public wiki for example.
A face-2-face meeting in Lisboa and in Porto could be useful to create working groups and formulate ideas together for basic logistics (space, kitchen, toilet, etc.), content and create material to distribute (create texts, plan program).
There is no central comitee so anyone interrested is more then welcome to join in to organise horizontly, with space to hear everyone’s opinion and making the main decisions in consensus, besides participating in working groups (locally) which take charge of specific tasks autonomously with the main objectives taken as guidelines.
Program
It’s still very early, but just to have an idea, what it could be:
- one day on international struggles: presentations of ZAD, NO TAV, Dakota pipeline protest, Hamach forrest, Longo mai… we can invite people who participated or visited these struggles to come and present!
- one day on portugese struggles: presentation of various groups fighting against shale gas,(p.e: the platform against TTIP, campains against dams, is there an occupation movement in portugal? Housing fights, speculation and gentrification fights, etc. – there must be more!)
- one day for practical workshops …. discussing tecniques, using tools, debate how to develop support networks, etc.
This doest actually have to be separates by days, its also nice to have half day theoretic, half day workshops.
The program will adapt to people’s will to organize and facilitate a session. Anyone who come can present something if she/he wants. We could have a end date to be able to send programs beforhand.
WHO WANTS TO ORGANISE IT?
Everything is really open still, this is only the first draft/idea, to start.. What’s important now is to find people who are wishing to organise this kind of meeting/event. This can all only happen if there is interrest and availibility to make it happen!
